Obituary- Ketter, Leslie

Leslie A. Ketter
Leslie A. Ketter, 51, SF. Marys, died Saturday, July 29, 1995, at the Rossville Valley Manor.

He was born September 22, 1943, in Delia, the son of Aloysius John and Blanche Perry Ketter.

He grew up in St. Marys, and was graduated from St. Marys High School in 1961.

Mr. Ketter worked as a warehouseman for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in Topeka, before he was injured in a car accident about 10 years ago. He served in the Army National Guard, and was called to active duty during the Vietnam War.

He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, St. Marys; past member of the Jimmie Lillard Post No. 31 of the American Legion at Rossville.

He is survived by a son, Brian Ketter, Topeka; two daughters, Tina Ketter and Leana Ketter, both of Salina; his mother, Blanche Ketter, St. Marys; two sisters, Elizabeth O’Neil, Lamorta, Calif., and Louise Millenbruch, Rossville; two brothers, Raymond Ketter and Howard Ketter, both of Topeka; and nine grandchildren.

Mr. Ketter will lie in state after 2:00 Tuesday (this afternoon) at Piper- Verschelden Funeral Home, St. Marys. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 Wednesday morning at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, St. Marys.

Memorials are suggested to the University of Kansas Medical Center for head injuries and sent in care of Piper-Verschelden Funeral Home, St. Marys.
