He leaves to mourn his death nine children: James, Henry, Joe, Charley, Robert, May, Louis, Minerva and Thomas also two brothers, James and Henry McGuire of Rossville, Kans. His children and brothers were with him almost constantly during his last illness, which was a great comfort to him. The funeral services were held at his home at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, by Rev. Rest, Peace be unto thee
A vacant spot you have left here
Our tho'ts shall often wander,
Father to you, up yonder.
