D. A. MCKELVEY
David Arthur McKelvey was born at Florence, Kansas, February 25, 1882; he departed this life August 31, 1933, aged 51 years, 6 months and 6 days.

He grew to manhood in and near Silver Lake. He was married to Ethel Barr in 1903. To this union two children were born, both of whom preceded him in death.

In 1911 he went to South Dakota where he lived until his health failed. Since April of this year he has made his home with his sister, Mrs. Harvey James.

He was a member of the Rossville Methodist church; also of the Modern Woodmen of America.

He is survived by his sister, Mrs. James, a brother, L. N. McKelvey of Santa Cruz, California; three nieces Mrs. Gladys Reaser, Mrs. Mildred Cless and Miss Thelma James, all of Rossville.

Funeral services were held at the Silver Lake Methodist church, SunŽday afternoon, with Rev. E. N. Judd being assisted in the service by Rev. Horton. Music was furnished by Mrs. Edith Goodnow, and Mrs. Mina Wentworth, with Mrs. Vivian Shafer at the piano. Pallbearers were Alden Goodnow, Clarence Henry, James VanOrsdol, Kirk Mowers, Abe Mowers, and E. H. Cutbirth. Interment was made in the Silver Lake cemetery.
