Stella Rae Millar
Stella Rae Millar, 66, Mesa, AZ, died Thursday, October 8, 1998, at the Mesa Lutheran Hospital.

She was born March 3,1932 at Gaines, WV, die daughter of Vorice Edward and Bertha Hamner Marley.
She had lived in Mesa the past 14 years. She grew up in West Virginia, and was graduated from Buckhannon Upshur High School in Buckhannon, WV. She had lived in the Maple Hill and Rossville communities before moving to Arizona. She and her husband managed the Nickerson Farms Restaurant at Paxico, and then the XIT Restaurant on 1-70 at Maple Hill. They later owned and operated Millar Restaurant in Maple Hill and later at Rossville. She moved to Mesa in 1984.

She was married to Howard E. Millar on July 24,1956 at Sutton, WV. He died August 27,1993. She was also preceded in death by a son, Howard Millar, Jr., and a grandson, David Hamm.

Survivors include two daughters, Veronica Decker, Mesa, AZ, Barbara Hamm, Frontenac; four sisters, Betty Collins, Helen Lee, Sue Davidson, Lehbelle Cogar, all of Rock Cave, WV; and three grandchildren.

Her service was Monday at the Rossville Christian Church. Burial was in the Rossville Cemetery. Piper Funeral Chapel, Rossville, was in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Rossville Christian Church and sent in care of the funeral chapel.
