Grace B. Mitchell
Grace B. Mitchell, 94, Cortez, Colo., formerly of Rossville and Silver Lake, died Monday, February 24, 1992; at a Cortez retirement home.

Davidson Funeral Home of Topeka is in charge of Kansas arrangements.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Silver Lake Cemetery for Grace B. Mitchell, 94, Cortez, Colo., formerly of Rossville, who died Monday, Feb. 24, 1992, at a Cortez retirement home.

Mrs. Mitchell and her husband farmed for many years in the Rossville community. After they retired they moved to Port Aransas, Texas.

She was born Aug. 11, 1897, in Stillwater, Oklahoma Territory, the daughter of Henry T. and Sarah Sadie Shaw White. She lived in Cortez since 1978.

She was married to Wayne H. Mitchell in January 1923 in Holton. He died July 30, 1977.

Survivors include a niece, Thelma White, Cortez, Colo.; and three nephews, Henry White, Wayne White and Don White, all of Cortez, Colo.

Mrs. Mitchell will lie in state after 2 p.m. Friday in Davidson Funeral Home in Topeka.
