Obituary- Moege, Herman

DEATH OF HERMAN MOEGE

Herman A. Moege, 45, of 2218 Lincoln street, died Saturday night at St. Francis hospital of tetanus. He had stepped on a nail July 13, running it through his foot.

For the last eighteen years, Mr. Moege had owned and operated a store at 2222 Lincoln street. He had been actively in charge of the store all that time except two years when the family lived on their farm north of Rossville. He was active in the Retail Grocers’ association.

He was born in Leavenworth, June 12, 1883, and was reared in Alma, Kan. He had made his home in Topeka the last twenty years. He was a lifelong member of the Lutheran church, having been associated with St. John’s Lutheran church during his entire residence in Topeka.

Mr. Moege is survived by his widow; one son. Cedric; a daughter, Dorothy; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth O’Herren, who lives in Denver, Colo.; and a brother, Otto Theel, of Enid,
Oklahoma.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the St. John’s Lutheran church, Second and Van-Buren streets. Burial was in Topeka cemetery. —Journal.
