Obituary- Murray, Betty

MRS. BETTY MURRAY
Mrs. Betty J. Murray, Estes Park, Colo., formerly of Rossville, died Friday in a hospital at Boulder, Colo. She suffered severe head injuries in a fall from a horse in 1972 and later underwent brain surgery.

She was born at Kearney, Nebr., where she spent her early life. She lived in the Rossville community many years before she moved to Colorado in 1968. She had been a member of All Faiths in Christ Church in Topeka.

She was married to Bill Murray at Kearney, Nebr. They formerly operated the Rossville Reporter newspaper and later the Trail Gazette newspaper at Estes Park. Re survives.

Other survivors include three daughters, Diane Murray, Mountain View, Calif., Mrs. June Harper, Topeka, and Susan Murray, at home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Deaver, Kearney, Nebr.; a grandmother, Mrs. Myrtle Beterbenrier, Gibbon, Nebr.; two sisters, a brother, and a granddaughter.

Services were at 9:30 a.m. Monday. April 15, at Estes Park, Colo. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Kearney, Nebr., Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Children’s Library of the Rossville Community Library.
