Obituary- Murray, Nora
Nora Ellen Murray
Mrs. Frank Murray died at 4 p. m. last Saturday, February 25, after a short illness. Her death was wholly unexpected and a severe shock to the members of the family anti friends in the city. Mrs. Murray had recovered from an attack of influenza a couple of weeks previous and two days before her death began suffering from severe pains, which were diagnosed as caused by gall stones. Late Saturday afternoon thru medicine administered and measures recommended by her physician, to relieve the pains, Mrs. Murray had been relieved from her suffering and several of the attendants had left her bedside believing her to be resting easy. A few minutes later she breathed her last. The parents had just arrived from the reservation a few minutes before her death.
Mrs. Murray was 35 years, 5 months and 9 days old. She was born in Rossville September 16, 1886 and spent practically her whole life here. At the age of nineteen she was united in marriage to Mr. Frank Murray on September 20, 1905. To this union five children were born, all of whom survive her. Her life has been one of devotion to her husband and family and the sympathy of the community goes out to the bereaved husband, the parents and the children.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Catholic church, conducted by Father McNieve. Interment was made in Rossville cemetery.
She is survived by her husband and five children: Ruth, aged 15, Irene, l4, James, 12, Wayne, 7 and Frank Jr., 4; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Burns; two brothers, Louis and Raymond Burns; four sisters, Mrs. Henry Martin, Mrs. John Martin, Mrs. James Nugent, Miss Edna Burns.
