Obituary- Murry, James

James E. Murry
Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Hutchinson for James E. Murry, 69, Wichita. He died Sunday, November 2, 1986, at a Wichita hospital.

Mr. Murry was a used car manager for Davis-Child Chevrolet at Hutchinson before he retired.

He was born April 3, 1917, at Delia, the son of James and Elizabeth McNeive Murry.

Mr. Murry was a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council No. 612, Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge No. 453, Optimist Club and Chamber of Commerce, all at Hutchinson. He had been a commissioner of the former Hutchinson Elks baseball team.

He was married to Georgia L. Bruce August 6, 1939, at Hutchinson. She survives.

Other survivors include a son, Steve Murry, Hutchinson; a daughter, Mrs. Kathleen Wapelhorst, Kingman; and six grandchildren.

Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery at Hutchinson. A rosary was recited at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary in Hutchinson. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Teresa's Athletic Fund at the church.
