Marilyn S. Layne
Maple Hill - Marilyn S. Layne, 49, Maple Hill, died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 1998, at her home. She had cancer.

Mrs. Layne was an accounting clerk for Falley's Food 4 Less.

She was born March 17, 1949, in Topeka, the daughter of David William and Anna Elizabeth Stehlin Cunningham. She attended Salina High School and was graduated from Topeka Technical College. She lived in Rossville before she moved to Maple Hill seven years ago.

She married Jack William Layne on May 22, 1970, at Salina. He died Oct. 28, 1985.

Survivors include two sons, David W. Layne and Jack D. Layne, both of Maple Hill; a sister, Anna L. Cunningham, Maple Hill; and two brothers, Joseph Cunningham, Valley Falls, and Richard Cunningham, Topeka.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Parker-Price Mortuary in Topeka. Burial will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Topeka. Mrs. Layne will lie in state after 2 p.m. today at the mortuary.

Marilyn S. Layne, 49, Maple Hill, died Tuesday, November 3, 1998 at her home. She fought cancer for the past year.

She was born March 17, 1949, at Topeka, the daughter of David William and Anna Elizabeth Stehlin Cunningham.

She lived in Maple Hill the past seven years and had previously lived in the Rossville community.

She attended Salina High School and graduated from Topeka Technical College. She was employed as an accounting clerk at Falley's Food 4 Less.

She married Jack William Layne May 22, 1970, at Salina. He died October 28, 1985.

Survivors include two sons, David W. Layne, and Jack D. Layne, both of Maple Hill; one sister, Anna E. Cunningham, Maple Hill; two brothers, Joseph Cunningham, Valley Falls, and Richard Cunningham, Topeka.

Her service was Friday at Parker-Price Mortuary, Topeka. Burial was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Topeka.
