Obituary- Lewelling, Evan S. 2

Lewelling
Evan S. Lewelling, 80, Rossville, died Monday, Feb. 18, at a Topeka hospital.

Mr. Lewelling was retired farmer and stockman.

He was born March 9, 1904, at Delia, the son of James and Dora Shields Lewelling. He lived at Soldier 34 years before he moved to Rossville nine years ago.

He attended the United Methodist Churches at Soldier and Rossville.

He was married to Martha Louise Hayden June 1, 1927, at Holton. She survives. A son, Dale Lewelling, died in 1963.

Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Velma Zlatnik, Delia; a sister, Mrs. Elsie Clematis, Clovis, Calif.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Mercer Funeral Home, Holton. Burial arrangements are pending. Contributions may be made to the Evan Lewelling Memorial Fund to be designated by relatives and sent in care of Kansas State Bank, Holton, 66436.
