Mildred L. Lloyd
ROSSVILLE — Mildred L. Lloyd, 85, Rossville, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 1993, at a Rossville nursing home.

Mrs. Lloyd and her second husband moved to Long Beach, Calif., in 1944 where they operated a bar and grill. They returned to Topeka in 1977.

She was born Nov. 12, 1907, in rural Shawnee County, the daughter of William P. and Mamie Suddarth Buckman. She lived in Rossville Valley Manor about four years.

She was married to William Atkins Oct. 1, 1935. They were divorced. She was married to William Lloyd at Alma. He died July 19, 1978. A son, Gene Atkins, died in March 1962.

Survivors include a stepdaughter, Lois Shawgo, in California; two sisters, Gladys Holmes and Dorothy Skidmore, both of Topeka; a brother, William Buckman, Topeka; two step- grandchildren; five stepgreat-grand- children; and seven stepgreat-great- grandchildren.

Mrs. Lloyd was cremated. Memorial services are pending in Rossville Valley Manor. Inurnment will be in Eskridge Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Rossville Valley Manor in care of Crable Funeral Chapel in Eskridge.
