G. DALE “THE TAG MAN”
LUTTIG
G. Dale “The Tag Man” Luttig, 83, of Emmett, died late Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2009, at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka.

Dale was born Dec .2,1925, near Delia, the son of George and Helen Hladky Luttig. He grew up in the Emmett community and lived there all of his life. He served in the United States Army.

Dale was a welder and manufacturer. He had a love for his hobbies, collecting license plates and Maytag engines. At last count Dale had over 80,000 license plates in his collec-tion. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Emmett and a life member of Knights of Columbus Council No. 657, St. Marys.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter Judith.

On Nov. 10,1956, he was united in marriage to Carol Phillips at Assumption Catholic Church in Topeka. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include his son, David W. Luttig, Emmett; a daughter, Cathy (Denny) Clayton, Rossville; two sisters, Betty Riley, Salem, Oreg., and Helen Doris McDuff, Henderson, Nev.; and a granddaughter, Amanda Clayton, Guam and several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Monday, Sept. 21, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Emmett.

Interment was in Holy Cross Cemetery, Emmett.
