Obituary- Lutz, Lester 2

Lester Lutz
Lester Lutz, 74, Silver Lake, died Thursday, March 31, 1988, at his home.

Mr. Lutz was a farmer and stockman.

He was born April 4, 1913, at Holton, the son of John F. and Carrie Elizabeth Montgomery Lutz. He had lived in the Delia area until 18 years ago, when he moved outside of Silver Lake. Mr. Lutz moved to Silver Lake a year ago.

He graduated from Denison High School in 1931. He was a member of Silver Lake Baptist Church.

He was married to Garnet M. Wood 52 years ago at Lyndon. She survives.

Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Joyce A. Simecka, Boulder City, Nev., and Carol E. Wallace, Topeka; two brothers, his twin, Chester Lutz, Holton, and Oscar Lutz, Mayetta; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Parker-Price Mortuary. Burial will be in Delia Cemetery. [Mrs.] [sic] Lutz will lie in state after 10 a.m. today at the mortuary, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, P.O. Box 4426, Topeka 66604, or Silver Lake Baptist Church, Silver Lake 66539.
