Obituary- Lutz, Oscar

Oscar "Bud" Lutz
Oscar "Bud" Lutz, 73, Delia, died Saturday, July 6, 1991, at a Topeka hospital.

Mr. Lutz was a farmer and stockman and had worked at the Supply Depot in Topeka. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

He was born July 11, 1917, in Jackson County, the son of John and Carrie Elizabeth Montgomery Lutz.

Mr. Lutz was recognized in 1965 with the Indian Soil Conservation Award, in 1966 with the Jackson County Bankers Conservation Award, and in 1968 with the Jackson County Environmental Award.

He was married to Waneva Edwards on November 18, 1939, at Lyndon. She survives. He was preceded in death by three infant sons in 1940.

Other survivors include two sons, Jim Lutz, Topeka, and Bruce Lutz, Delia; a daughter, Lois Zeller, Holton; a brother, Chester Lutz, Holton; and eight grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday (today) at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton.

Burial will be in Holton Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Potawatomi Methodist Church.

DELIA — Oscar "Bud” Lutz, 73, Delia, died Saturday, July 6, 1991, at a Topeka hospital.
