Obituary- Norton, Ernest 2

Ernest Vernon Norton
ROSSVILLE — Services will be at 1 a m. Tuesday at Verschelden Funeral Home, St. Marys, for Ernest Vernon Norton, 88, Jefterson City, Mo, who died Friday at the home of a stepson in Jefferson City.

He was born Oct. 16, 1891, at Stuttgart. the son of John G. and Margaret Frances Best Norton, and lived in western Kansas until moving to Rossville in 1932.

Mr. Norton was a former and an Army veteran of World War I.

He was married to Vera Cool in 1923. She died in 1926. He was married to Blanche Tuller House Oct. 14, 1932, at Topeka. She survives.

Other survivors Include two daughters, Mrs. Frances Jepson, Leavenworth, and Mrs. Lavern Braden Phelps, Hoyt; two stepsons, Glenn House, Rossville, and Wayne House, Jefterson City, Mo.; a brother, Sam Norton, Norton; 19 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
