Obituary- O'Bennick, George
George Leroy O達ennick
George Leroy O達ennick, 79, Topeka, died Saturday, Nov. 15, at a Topeka hospital.
Mr. O達ennick was a construction laborer.
He was born Nov. 23, 1906, near Delia, the son of Charley and Nora Williams O達ennick. He lived most of his life in the Delia community.
Mr. O達ennick was a member of the Prairie Band of the Potawatomi Tribe.
He was married to Mary Vallee. She preceded him in death.
Survivors include three sons, Richard V. O達ennick and Justin A. O達ennick, both in Montana, and Leroy O達ennick, Hot Springs, Mont.; a daughter, Mrs. Georgia Perry, Topeka; a brother, Isaac O達ennick, Delia; and several grandchildren.
Drum services will be Wednesday evening at the Indian Dance Ground Building in Delia. Burial will be in O達ennick Cemetery near Delia. Mercer Funeral Home at Holton is in charge of arrangements.
