Lester Bailey
Lester Bailey, 70, Delia, died Monday, September 24, 1990, at a Topeka hospital.
Mr. Bailey was a farmer and stockman between Hoyt and Delia before he retired in 1982. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was born February 19, 1920, in Silver Lake, the son of Mirl and Effie Day Bailey.
Mr. Bailey was a member of the Pottawatomie United Methodist Church, Hoyt Chapter No. 189 of Order of Eastern Star, Hoyt Lodge No. 327 AF&AM, Topeka Consistory of Scottish Rite, and American Association of Retired Persons.
Survivors include a brother, Stanley Bailey, Silver Lake.
Services were at 10 a.m. Thursday at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial was in Walnut Hill Cemetery near Silver Lake.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Pottawatomie United Methodist Church.
