Obituary- Oliver, Thomas
Tom P. Oliver
Thomas P. Oliver, died Wednesday night at Christ's hospital after a several months illness.
He was one of the largest farming operators in this community combining general farming with the nursery business. He had been operating in this vicinity, for many years and has spent practically all his life in Shawnee county.
He was born February 12, 1874 at Tecumseh. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America, Elks' lodge, Topeka Consistory and Arab Shrine.
Surviving him are his wife, Laurel A. Oliver, a daughter, Mrs. George Maddox, Rossville; and four sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Stroup, Topeka; Mrs. Charles McCarter, Tabool, Mo.; Mrs. J.W. Peake, Puyallup, Wash.; and Miss Mae Oliver, Topeka.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon, at 2 o'clock in the Penwell mortuary.

Notice of Appointment
Notice is hereby given that on the 18th day of December, A.D. 1936, the undersigned was, by the Probate Court of Shawnee County, Kansas, duly appointed Executor of the estate of Thomas P. Oliver, late of Shawnee County, deceased. All parties interested in said estate will take notice and govern themselves accordingly.
