Obituary- Osborn, Wilhelmina


MRS. A. P. OSBORN
Wilhelmine Augusta Matilda Eisermann was born May 8, 1865, and died January 15, 1940, aged 74
years, 8 months and 7 days. She was born near Toledo, Ohio, and came to Kansas as a child with her parents. She lived near Rossville in her early life.

She was married to Albert P. Osborn, of Rossville and to their union was born four children, one son dying in infancy and Alice May Carman, of Omaha, Almon C. of Eckley, Colo., and Vernon G., of Palmer, Kansas surviving. Other relatives co mourn her departure are three sisters, Mrs. Mary Grooms, Topeka; Mrs. Laura Eisermann, Topeka; and Mrs. J. W. McCalvin of Soldier; and three brothers, George, Robert and Fred, who were unable to be here for the funeral owing to the bad weather.

As a young woman she united with the United Brethren church, later with the Methodist church She also was a member of the Rossville Royal Neighbors.

The family spent some years in Western Kansas and in Colorado and for ten years resided in Omaha. The past ten years she had resided near Clifton. Mr. Osborn preceded her in death about a year ago.

Funeral services were held Friday Jan. 19, at 11 o’clock from the Rossville Methodist church, conducted by Rev. C. P. Broadfoot. Interment was in Rossville cemetery.

Just a home of rest and peace;
Where we know our dear Lord
Is waiting with a hand of loving care.
We will meet you dear one
In that home so bright and fair.


FUNERAL FOR MRS. AL OSBORN
HERE, FRIDAY, 11 A. M.

Funeral services for Mrs. A1 Osborn, will be held in the Rossville Methodist church tomorrow (Friday) at 11 a. m.

Mrs. Osborn died Monday at her home at Palmer, Kansas.

She and her family were former residents of this community.

She is survived by three children Mrs. Alice Carman, Omaha, Neb.; Vernon Osborn, Palmer, Kan.; and Almon Osborn, Eckley, Colo.; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Grooms, Topeka; Miss Laura Eisermann, Topeka, and Mrs. J. H. McCalin, Soldier; three brothers, Robert Eisermann, Frankfort; George Eisermann, Meriden, and Fred Eisermann, Branson, Mo., and four grandchildren.

Interment will be in the Rossville cemetery.
