ROSSVILLE — Darlene M. Paine, 68, Rossville, died Friday, May 18,2001, at a Topeka hospital.

She was born Dec. 16,1932, in Ellsworth, the daughter of Theodore and Dorothy Mendenhall Cottrell. She was raised in Wichita and Ellsworth and graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1944. She lived in Rossville most her adult life.

Mrs. Paine was a member of the Christian faith.

She married Edward E. Paine on Nov. 3,1950, in Ellsworth, He died Feb. 11,1988.

Survivors include four sons, Edward P. Paine and Mark L. Paine, both of Topeka, Terry I. Paine Wamego, and Jonny E. Paine, Maple Hill, a daughter, Tracy A. Paine, Topeka; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be at 10a.ni Monday at the Piper Funeral Chapel in Rossville. Burial was Saturday at Rossville Cemetery.

Contributions may be made to the Darlene M.
Paine Memorial Fund to be designated later and sent in care of the funeral chapel.
