Obituary- Parker Forrest 1
Forrest Parker
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Presbyterian Church at Rossville for Forrest Parker, 64, Rossville, who died Monday night in a Topeka hospital where he was readmitted Sunday. He had emphysema and a heart ailment and had been ill several years.
He was born April 2, 1908, at Salem, Ill. He lived hi the Frankfort and Whiting com-munities before he moved to Rossville 18 years ago. He was a farmer.
He was married to Olga Japp May 2, 1931, at Sterling, Colo. She survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Robert Parker, El Dorado, and Daryl Parker, Oberlin; two daughters, Mrs. Irene Jaeger, 6129 S.W. 53rd, and Mrs. Phyllis Davis, Rossville; three sisters, Mrs. Elma Mercer, Salem, Ill., Mrs. Lola O’Donley, Kingdon City, Mo., and Mrs. Eileen Armstrong, Phoenix, Ariz.; and 14 grandchildren.
Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery. Mr. Parker will lie in state until noon Thursday at Parker Mortuary in Topeka. Memorial contributions may be made to the Presbyterian Church at Rossville.
