Obituary- Patell, Josett
Mrs. Patell Dead
Mrs. Josett Patell, died at 5:80 last Thursday evening after an illness of several weeks. Death was due primarily to old age. Mrs. Patell was one of the oldest residents of Rossville township, having lived here since the sevenŽties. Mrs. Patell was noted as one of the neatest housekeepers in this city, and in spite of her great age kept her home in order and did her own work up until a short time before her death. The funeral was held Saturday afterŽnoon from the Methodist church services being conducted by Rev. Ward. Interment was made in the Rossville cemetery.
Paul Patell and Mrs. Josett LaFroumba [Laframboise] were united in marriage in North Topeka, Kansas, on the fourteenth day of Nov., 1872. Mr. and Mrs. Patell settled in Rossville township after their marriage and have resided here since.
Mr. Patell was a member of the Baptist church of Rossville. The neighbors and her friends testify to her constant endeavor to live a Christian life. She leaves to mourn her loss her aged husband and an adopted daughter, Mrs. Liza Bear. Mrs. Patell was 86 years, 6 months and 3 days old at the time of her death. The sympathy of the entire community goes out to the bereaved husband and daughter.
