Obituary- Patton, Osto 2

Osto H. Patton
Osto H. “Pat” Patton, 66, 928 N. Michigan, died Saturday in a Topeka hospital. He had been ill about 18 months.

He was born Sept. 30, 1911, at Rossville and lived in Topeka since 1937. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church at Rossville.

Mr. Patton was a sheetmetal worker and worked at the Santa Fe Railway shops 38 years before he retired in July 1974.

He was married to Mable F. Bixby March 20, 1932, at Lawrence. She survives. A son, Howard Edward Patton, died in January 1945.

Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Wanda Smith, Sugar Creek, Mo.; a brother, Kermit Patton, Topeka; five sisters, Mrs. Juanita Foresman and Mrs. Nora Dell Foresman, both at St. Marys, Mrs. Hope Meade and Mrs. Donic Parr, both at Rossville, and Mrs. Eileen St. Louis, 1716 W. 3rd; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Davidson-Duff Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery.

Mr. Patton will lie in state at the funeral home where rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
