ELMER PENAZ
The whole community has been grieved and deeply saddened by the untimely death of Elmer Penaz who passed away in his home at Delia, September 10, 1935, after an illness of only a few days. The very fact that he was a promising youth of health and vigor, makes his passing the more of a shock to his relatives and friends.

He endeared himself to the pupils and to the teachers if the schools, to his many friends, and to the entire community, by his faithful and cheerful service, and by his cheery and helpful disposition. His ever-ready smile will long be remembered and missed.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. B. W. Davis at the Presbyterian church in Delia, on September 12. in the presence of a large assembly of friends who had met to pay tribute to one who was loved by all who knew him. The pallbearers were personal friends, and were attended by flower girls. He was laid to rest in the Bohemian cemetery, near Delia. He leaves to mourn his loss, his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Penaz; his sister, Miss Lydia; other relatives and a host of friends.
