Obituary- Phillips, Wanda

Wanda Lee (Lundin) Phillips, 79, Gulfport, Miss., formerly of Soldier, died Saturday, Oct. 3,2009, at Medicalodges Jackson County in Holton.

She was born June 23, 1930, in Soldier, the daughter of Pleasant Harold and Margarette Stella Manis Winters.

Ms. Phillips had lived in Panama for several years before moving to the Gulfport, Miss., area nearly 30 years ago. She had worked for years as a hairdresser.

She married Frank “Jack” Lundin. They divorced. She later married Bill Phillips. They divorced.

Survivors include two sons, Jackie Lundin and wife Nancy, Circleville, and Gary Lundin, Ozawkie; a sister, Patricia Meyer, Lopez Island, Wash.; a brother, Delbert Simecka, Belvue; five grandchildren, Brandon Lundin, Angela Mullins, Tanya Ahlgren and Eric and Chad Lundin; and three great-grandsons, Tyler, Kyle and Jackson Ahlgren.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Valley View Cemetery at St. Marys. Family will greet friends from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton.
