Mrs. Sharon R. Pilcher

Indian Tribal drum services will be this evening on the New Dance Ground west of Mayetta for Mrs. Sharon Rose Pilcher, 59, Mayetta. She died Sunday, Sept. 24, 1989, at a Topeka hospital. She had been ill.

Mrs. Pilcher had operated a dog kennel in Chicago.

She was born Sept. 11, 1930, in Mayetta, the daughter of George L. and Helen Claybear Williams. She lived in the Mayetta area the past several months.

Mrs. Pilcher was a member of Prairie Band of the Potawatomi Indian Tribe and Indian Drum Religion.

A son, Clayton Paul Pilcher, died July 16, 1989.

Survivors include three foster chil-dren, Daniel Harold, Fonda Crow and John Coon, all of Chicago; her stepfather, Louis Oliver, Mayetta; and five sisters, Thamar Morris, Palmdale, Calif., Helen Wilson. Delia, Cynthia Switch, Hamlin, Donnis Keo, Topeka, and Donna Wahquahboshkuk, Mayetta.

Burial will be Thursday afternoon in Oliver Cemetery near Mayetta. Mercer Funeral Home in Holton is in charge of arrangements.
