EARL B. PRATER
Earl B. Prater, 79, Rossville, died Tuesday, August 26, 1986, at a Manhattan nursing home.

Mr. Prater was a retired farmer.

He was born January 1, 1907, at Cottle, Ky., the son of Hezekiah and Linnie Cottle Prater. He moved with his parents to the Rossville community at an early age.

Mr. Prater was a member of the Christian Church and an associate member of Jimmie Lillard Post No. 31 of the American Legion, both at Rossville.

Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Opal Montgomery, Fontana, Calif.; and two brothers, Ray Prater, Sunnyvale, Calif., and Omar Prater, Denver, Colo.

Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Christian Church in Rossville; interment was in Rossville Cemetery.

Relatives and friends met from 7:30 until 8:30 p.m. Friday at Verschelden Funeral Home in St. Marys.

Memorial contributions may be made to Jimmie Lillard Post No. 31 of the American Legion in Rossville.
