Pneumonia Proves Fatal to Mrs. Jane Primley

Mrs. Minerva Jane Primley passed away Thursday, May 1, at 6 p.m., after a week's illness with pneumonia at the home of her niece, Mrs. E.D. Hartzell, aged 84 years, 4 months and 11 days.

The deceased, whose maiden name was Minerva Jane Trullinger, was born at Covington, Kentucky, December 20, 1839. At the age of 16 she was united in marriage to William Petty. He departed this life in 1878. On February 2, 1883, she was married to Mr. Fred Primley and the moved soon after to Kansas, locating in the vicinity of Rossville. Mr. Primley passed away June 20, 1894.

Mrs. Primley united with the Rossville Christian church in 1894 and has always remained one of its faithful members.

She had endeared herself to a large circle of acquaintances in the community and to these she was always affectionately addressed as "Aunt."

For many years she had made her home with the family of her niece, Mrs. E.D. Hartzell, and the devotion existing between the members of the family and "Aunty" Primley was of common knowledge to everyone in the community.

Funeral services were held in the Christian church, Saturday afternoon, May 3, conducted by her Pastor, Rev. James Kennedy, who was assisted by Rev. G.C. Albin, of the Methodist church.

Music was rendered by the church choir including Mrs. John Kinnet, Mrs. H.E. Ishmael, Miss Ruth Stanley and Mrs. Peter Navarre.

The pallbearers were Messrs. M.S. McElvain, C.E. Van Vleck, H.E. Ishmael, Henry Lambotte, A.S. Parr and C.E. Cless. The body was interred in the Rossville cemetery.
