Obituary- Queen, Donald 2
Donald W. “Pete” Queen
Donald W. “Pete” Queen, 63, Topeka, died Wednesday, March 31, 1993, at his home.
Mr. Queen worked in the Santa Fe Railway shops.
He was born
April 3, 1929, in Beverly, the son of Creed T. and Hallie E. Hays Queen. He lived in the Silver Lake and Grove communities most of his life.
Mr. Queen was a member of the Railway Clerks Union.
A son, Earl Queen, died in 1967.
Survivors include a daughter, Rita Elder, Rocky Hill, Conn.; two sons, Douglas Queen, Rossville, and John Queen, Lee’s Summit, Mo.; four sisters, Geraldine Edwards and Ruth Blush, both of Silver Lake, Doris Anderson, Osage City, and Imogene Reese, Tecumseh; and five grandchildren.
Services were at 10 a.m. Saturday in Davidson Funeral Home. Burial was in Walnut Hill Cemetery, north of Silver Lake.
