Agnes A. Rafferty
Agnes Anna Rafferty, 66, Rossville, died late Friday afternoon, January 7,2000, at St. Francis Hospital, Topeka.

She was born April 6, 1933, in Delia, the daughter of Peter Paul and Stella Agnes Martinek Kovar. She lived in the Rossville and Delia communities all of her life.

She was graduated from Research Hospital School of Nursing, Kansas City, MO, in 1954, and was a registered nurse in Dr. Fred Brown’s medical practice in St. Marys for 11 years before retiring for health reasons.

Agnes was a member of Morovan Lodge No. 128 at Rossville.

On April 16,1955, she was married to Robert E. Rafferty in Rossville. He survives.

Other survivors include a son, Michael Rafferty, Rossville; two sisters, Betty Kovar, Raytown, MO, and Evelyn Thompson, Pewaukee, WI; one brother, Earl Kovar, Liberty, MO; and three grandsons, Shawn Rafferty and Adam Rafferty, both of Rossville, and Peter Rafferty, Topeka.

The family met with friends Sunday evening at the Parker-Price Mortuary in Topeka. Mrs. Rafferty’s service was at 10 a.m. Monday at the mortuary. Interment was in Rossville Cemetery.
