Mrs. Elsie Marie Rasch, 68, Rossville, passed away Thursday, May 15, 1986 at her home. She was born Aug. 18, 1917 north of Silver Lake, the daughter of Emil Philip and Rosa Devorak Bahner. She lived north of Silver Lake until she was married and then moved to Rossville.

Mrs. Rasch was a member of the Rossville United Methodist Church, was a member and past matron of Amaryllis Chapter No. 321, Order of the Eastern Star, Rossville, was a past district aide of District No. 17, Grand Chapter of Kansas, Order of the Eastern Star, and was a member of Rossville Literary Music Circle.

Mrs. Rasch has been a horticulture therapist at Menningers for five years.

She was married to Marion “Bud” Rasch on May 14, 1939 at Walnut Hill in Shawnee County. He preceded her in death on Sept. 7, 1980.

Surviving are a daughter, Ms. Carla Rasch, Lawrence; two sons, Wayne Rasch, Athens, Ga.; and Ronald Rasch, San Francisco, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Julia Brees, Delia; Mrs. Christina Zicke- foose, Rossville; and Mrs. Lorraine Billingsley, Topeka; two brothers, Milton Bahner, Rossville; and Harvey Bahner, Topeka; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services were to be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 1986, at the Rossville United Methodist Church followed by Eastern Star services conducted by Amaryllis Chapter No. 321, Order of the Eastern Star. Interment was to be in Rossville Cemetery.

Parker-Price Mortuary, Topeka, was in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rossville United Methodist Church, Rossville, 66533 or Hospice, Inc., 824 Washburn, Topeka, 66606.
