Obituary- Ray, Alta

Alta V. Ray
Alta V. Ray, 71, Topeka, died Saturday, October 7, 1995, at a Topeka nursing home.

Mrs. Ray worked at the Sunflower Powder Plant in DeSoto during World War II.

She was born January 6,1924, in Mayetta, the daughter of Lewis J. and Eunice Mae Levier Mulanax. She lived most of her life in Topeka.

She married Clayton H. Ray on April 14,1956, in Topeka. He died December 10,1987.

Survivors include a daughter, Arlene M. Yost, Topeka; four brothers, James Mulanax and Irvan Mulanax, both of Topeka, William Mulanax, Silver Lake; and Kenneth Mulanax, Delia; a granddaughter; and three great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday (this morning) at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Topeka. Burial was in Rochester Cemetery. A parish rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Monday at Davidson Funeral Home.
