CHARLES ‘TEETLE’ REDING
Cletus A. “Teetle” Reding, 75, Rossville, died Friday, September 20, 1985, at his home after an extended illness.
Mr. Reding was a retired farmer and, during the early 1950s was a meat cutter in several St. Marys stores.
He was born November 6, 1909, in the Sandy Hook community southeast of St. Marys, the son of Leo and Mary Meyer Reding. He lived in the St. Marys area until he moved to Rossville in 1971.
Mr. Reding was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Rossville.
He was married to Helena Hesse on December 27, 1937, in St. Marys. She survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Mary Mayer, Rossville; three sisters, Mrs. Vivian McCoy, Iowa Falls, and Mrs. Vivian Conway and Mrs. Rita Fee, both of Topeka; and a granddaughter.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Burial was in Rossville Cemetery. A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at Verschelden Funeral Home in St. Marys. Casket bearers were Larry J. Perry, Raymond Riat, Don Schumaker, Charles Uhlrig, James Conway, and Frank Stach.
