Obituary- Redmon, Carl 2
Carl E. Redmon
HOLTON — Carl E. Redmon, 61, of Wichita, formerly of Delia, died Saturday, Oct. 25, 1997, at a Wichita hospital.
Mr. Redmon served in the United States
Navy.
He was an aviation electrician for Learjet in Wichita for 28 years. He also worked for a couple of years for Boeing in the late 1980s, where he helped with the construction of Air Force One.
He was born on Oct. 9, 1936, north of Delia, the son of Homer and Mary Carmichael Redmon. He graduated from Mayetta High School in 1954.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Redmon, Kansas City, Mo.; three sisters, Ann Lou Lahey, Anderson, Calif., and Mary Ann Bryant, and Monica Olson, both of Topeka, and seven brothers, Theron Redmon, Chicago, Gene Redmon and Lee Redmon, both of Kansas City, Mo., Billy Redmon, Valley Falls, Edward Redmon and Lloyd Redmon, both of Topeka, and Don Redmon, Rossville.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Mercer Funeral Home, Holton. Burial will be in the Delia Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Basic Cancer Research at Kansas State University and sent in care of the funeral home.
