Effie Reece
Eva May Osborn Reece was born in Iowa, May 2, 1865. She was united in marriage to George Seager, September 1, 1884. To this union six children were born, two of whom, Ernest Seager, of Clifton and Irvin of St. Joe, Mo., survive. Three passed I away in infancy, and a daughter, Mary Peterson died three years ago.

July 20, 1904 she was united in marriage to Rufus Reece, who also Survives her. There are also nine grand children three great grand-children, two brothers, Albert Osborn, Clifton, Kan., and Clint Osborn, of Quinter, Kan., and one sister Mrs. Anna Shuck of Portland, Ore. Mrs. Reece had been in poor health for about a year before passing away at Bennington, Kan., Thursday, Jan. 3, at the age of 69 years, 8 months and 1 day.

She was a member of the Methodist church at Rossville for many years, and never removed her letter.

Funeral services were held at Bennington, with only a brief services here Sunday, at 1:30 o’clock, in charge of Rev. Horton at Rossville cemetery where the body was interred.
