Eileen C. Reedy
Eileen Clara Reedy, 92, of Topeka, passed away Monday, April 15, 2013.
She was born June 29, 1920 in Delia, KS, the daughter of Claude Manninger and Pauline Pearl (Rezac) Miller. She was a graduate of Delia High School and received her teaching certificate from Emporia State Teachers College, Emporia, KS.
She was a member of Northern Hills Baptist Church, Topeka.
Eileen married Robert Clarence Reedy on December 20, 1941 in Topeka. He preceded her in death on October 6, 1998. Survivors include a daughter, Judith Ann Crumpler, Sun Lakes, AZ; a son, Larry Dean (Marilyn) Reedy, Kansas City, KS; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers, DeVere, Lloyd and Donald Miller.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, April 20, 2013 at the Northern Hills Baptist Church, 920 N.W. 62nd St., Topeka, KS 66618. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Gardens, Topeka. Eileen will lie in state after 3 p.m., Friday at the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka, where the family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Care, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, KS 66606.
