Obituary- Reser, Josie

Death Takes Mrs. W.H. Reser
Mrs. Josie Reser, wife of William H. Reser, passed away Sunday, Jan¬uary 13, at 4:45 p.m. Her death was due to cancer of the stomach which disease developed about four months ago. She became seriously ill only about a week before the end came.
The deceased was a native of Rossville township, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Wood. She was born September 16, 1884. At the time of her death she was 39 years, 3 months and 28 days old.
She was united in marriage to W. H. Reser January 18, 1905, and to this union two children were born, both of whom, with the husband sur¬vive to mourn her loss.
Other surviving relatives are her mother, Mrs. Richard Wood, one sister, Mrs. W.H. Zickefoose and four brothers, George Wood, of Kansas City, Mo., Emmett Wood, of Guthrie, Okla., Den Wood, of Ozawkie, Kan., Melvin Wood, of Rossville.
Funeral services were held Tues¬day afternoon, January 15, at 2 o’clock, in the Rossville Presbyterian church, conducted by Rev. H.L. Nel¬son, of Topeka. Rev. Nelson also of¬ficiated at her wedding.
The music was furnished by a choir including Dr. N.S. Clothier, of St. Marys, Mr. A.A. Cless, Mrs. A.B. Jamieson and Mrs. Albert Reser. The pall bearers were Mr. Norris Nichols, Mr. Ed Quinlan, Mr. Oscar Allen, Mr. George Allen, Mr. Mike Kesler and Mr. Cecil Lemon.
The body was interred in the Rossville cemetery.


Chris Reser was called to Ross¬ville Sunday, by the death of his sis¬ter-in-law, Mrs. Will Reser. Mrs. Reser left Tuesday to attend the fun¬eral.—Holton Recorder.

Dr. Clothier [sic] was down from St. Marys Tuesday to assist with the singing at the funeral of Mrs. Josie Reser.

Mr. and Mrs. John Taylor were here yesterday for the funeral of Mrs. Will Reser.

Miss Grace Reser, of Topeka, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Reser, of Holton, was here Tuesday for the funeral of her aunt, Mrs. Will Reser.

Mr. Den Wood, of Ozawkie, Kans., and Mr. George Wood, of Kansas City, were here Tuesday for the fun¬eral of their sister, Mrs. Will Reser.
