Obituary- Rezac, Fred 1

Fred Rezac
Fred Rezac, 80, was dead on arrival at a Topeka hospital Monday after he became ill at his home. He apparently had a heart attack.

He was born Dec. 28,1892, at Emmett and spent most of his life in the Emmett community. He was an Army veteran of World War I. He was a farmer before he retired.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church at Emmett and Hoy-Heim Post of the American Legion at St. Marys.

He was married to Ethel Wood May 20, 1924, in Topeka. She survives.

Other survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Winnifred Surritt, Silver Lake, Mrs. Ethel Mae Hodge, 200 Spruce Lane, and Mrs. Ramona Peck, 3211 W. 32nd, both in Topeka, and Mrs. Ann Marshall and Mrs. Alice Brees, both of Emmett; and a son, Fredric M. Rezac,
Emmett.

Also surviving are five sisters, Mrs. Josephine Syring, Rossville, Mrs. Martha Ptacek, Wichita, Mrs. Tillie Luthye, 1643 Central Park, Topeka, Mrs. Pauline Miller, Delia, and Mrs. Elsie Lynde, 2435 Wisconsin, Topeka; three brothers, Richard Rezac, Upland, Calif., and Ernest Rezac and James Rezac, both of Rossville; and 11 grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Verschelden Funeral Home at St. Marys. Burial will be in St. Clere Cemetery north of Emmett. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church at Emmett.
