Obituary- Rezac, Raymond

Raymond Rezac
Raymond R. Rezac, 63, St.
Marys, died Monday in a Topeka hospital where he was admitted Saturday after he suffered a cerebral hemorrhage.

He was born April 1, 1909, at
Delia, son of Edward and Cecelia Schroepfer Rezac, and spent most of his life in the Delia and St. Marys communities.

He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Army from 1942 to 1945. He attained the rank of staff sergeant. He had been stationed at Rantoul, Ill., and later at Stewart Field, N.Y. He was a member of Hoy-Heim Post No. 178 of the American Legion at St. Marys.

Mr. Rezac was a bulk oil and gasoline distributor for the j Farmers Union Cooperative at St. Marys 25 years before he retired May 1,1972.

He was married to Katherine Wehner Nov. 26, 1941, at Delia. She survives. A grandson, James Edward Rezac, died in 1967.

Other survivors include a son, William J. Rezac, St. Marys; a daughter, Mrs. Peggy Ann J Perry, Tucson, Ariz.; a sister, Mrs. Regina Simecka, St. Marys; and a granddaughter.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday a Verschelden Funeral Home at St. Marys. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery at St. Marys.

A Protestant prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church at St. Marys.
