Helen N. Besta Richard
Helen N. Besta Richard, 69, Topeka, died Tuesday, Jan. 2,1995, at a Topeka hospital.

Mrs. Richard worked as a dental lab technician tor Dr. Morrow in Topeka before she retired.

She was born Nov. 27, 1926, at Rossville, the daughter of Albert and Agnes Reser Besta. She was reared in the Wamego area.

Mrs. Richard was a member of the Lutheran Church at Alma and a former member of the Women of the Moose Lodge No. 555.

She married Donald Richard on March 20,1945, at Alma. He survives.

Other survivors include two daughters, Beverly Kennedy, Silver Lake, and Pam Anderson, Topeka; her father, Albert Besta, Wamego; two sisters, Marie Brazzle, Wamego, and Velma Colter, Topeka; a brother, Averill Startup, Glenwood Springs, Colo.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Richard will lie in state after 3 p.m. today at the funeral home where relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Kansas Affiliate Inc., 3210 E.
