Obituary- Richardson, John M.
J. M. Richardson
John Merlin Richardson, 61, died Friday at his home, 3644 Kirklawn. He had been ill several years and had been a patient in a Topeka hospital earlier.
He was born Oct. 21, 1913, in Topeka and spent most of his life in the Topeka area. He attended Topeka schools.
He was employed as a guard by the Burns Security Agency and had worked there over 10 years.
He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the 3021st Army Air Corps in the South Pacific. He was a member of Pentacostal Grace Tabernacle.
He was married to Etta M. Meade. She survives.
Other survivors include his mother, Mrs. Nettie B. Carter, 2527 Beverly Court; and a sister, Mrs. Josephine Marne, Temple City, Calif.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Parker Mortuary. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Pentacostal Grace Tabernacle or to the American Cancer Society.
