Obituary- Richardson, Leona

Mrs. Leona M. Richardson
Mrs. Leona M. Richardson, 81, Rossville, died Tuesday, Nov. 24,. 1987, at a Rossville nursing home.

She was born Sept. 17, 1906, in Oklahoma, the daughter of John and Sarah Johnson Mosher. She spent most of her life in Topeka before she moved to Rossville in 1969.

Mrs. Richardson was a member of Fairlawn Church of the Nazarene, and had been active in the Good Neighbor Program in Rossville until 1986.

She was married to John B. Richardson June 25, 1924, at Concordia. He died July 18, 1973. A son, John Richardson Jr., died in April 1970.

Survivors include two daughters, Helen M. Martinek, Rossville, and Martha LaVon Paxton, Yorktown, Ind., formerly of Topeka; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Parker-Price Mortuary in Topeka. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery. Mrs. Richardson will lie in state after 1 p.m. Friday at the mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to Fairlawn Church of the Nazarene, 730 Fairlawn Road, 66606.
