Obituary- Rogers, Clyde 4

Clyde H. Rogers
Clyde H. Rogers, 62, Route 1, Rossville, died Saturday at his home a mile south of Rossville. He had been a patient in a Topeka hospital from Dec. 27 to Dec. 31. He had a heart ailment.

He was born April 11, 1909, at Dover and spent most of his life in the Rossville community. He was a farmer and stockman many years.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church and Hesperian Lodge No. Ill, AF&AM, both at Rossville, and Scottish Rite bodies and Arab Shrine in Topeka. He also was a member of the Kansas Livestock Assn.

He was a member of the board of directors of Silver Lake State Bank and served on the Shawnee County area planning board.

He was married to Fern Pendleton August 6, 1936, at Riley. She survives.

Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Jane Fritz, Los Alamitos, Calif.; a son, Don Rogers, Maple Hill; a sister, Mrs. Ocea Zaleuke, 1801 Broadview Drive; and a grandson.

Parker Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church at Rossville or to the American Heart Assn.
