Fern C. Rogers
Mrs. Fern Chettie Rogers, 85, Rossville, died Thursday morning, March 9, 1995, at the home of her daughter in Festus, Mo.

She was born December 25, 1909, at Silver Lake, the daughter of Dudley and Lorna
Moseley Pendleton. She taught at Lipp School and at Rossville public schools before her marriage.

She was married to Clyde H. Rogers August 6, 1936. He died January 1, 1972.

Mrs. Rogers was a member of the Rossville United Methodist Church; the Auxiliary to Jimmie Lillard Post #31 of the American Legion of Rossville; Loyal Chapter #176, Order of the Eastern Star of Silver Lake; The Kansas State Historical Society; and Santa Fe Trail Historical Society.

Survivors include a daughter, Jane McClelland, Festus, Mo.; a son, Don C. Rogers, Topeka; and four grandchildren.

Her funeral service was at 2:00 Sunday afternoon at the Rossville United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Kenneth Rogers officiating. Interment was in the Rossville Cemetery under direction of Parker-Price Mortuary, Topeka.
