Jennie Rogers
Funeral services for Jennie Rogers were held last Friday afternoon at the Rossville Methodist Church, with the pastor, Don Jones, officiating.

Music was furnished by Mr. Tom Scott, accompanied by Mrs. Opal Lambotte, of Dover.

Pallbearers were Messrs. Clyde Rogers, Warner Rogers, Russell Wooster, John Stevens and L.B. Crow.

Burial in the Dover Cemetery.

Mrs. Rogers was born September 6, 1876, in Lisbon, Penn., and passed away at her home in Rossville, Wednesday, December 7, 1949. She came to Kansas at the age of 8. She had lived in Rossville since 1918 and was a member of the Methodist Church.

She was united in marriage to A.L. Rogers on December 27, 1893. To this union were born three children: one son, Paul D. Rogers, Willard; two daughters, Mrs. Helen Taber, Dover, and Mrs. Ruth Page, Rossville.

Beside her three children and three grandchildren: Dean Page and Phyllis Page, Rossville, and Mrs. Lillian Rippetoe, Wichita, Kan., she also is survived by four stepchildren: John Rogers, Willard; Abe Rogers, Topeka; Arthur Rogers, Dover, and Mrs. Abby Edgar, San Bernardino, Calif.; two brothers, Earl Lyttle, Winter Park, Fla.; Glenn Lyttle, Franklin Pa.; four sisters, Mrs. Abbie Atwell, Clintonville, Pa.; Mrs. Bess Atwell, Grove City, Pa.; Mrs. Florence Pery, Polk, Pa.; and Mrs. Helen Phipps, Pittsburgh, Pa.



Mrs. Jennie Rogers
Funeral services for Mrs. Jennie Rogers, 73, who died Wednesday morning at her home in Rossville, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Rossville Methodist church. Burial will be in the Dover cemetery. The body will lie [in] state at the Parker Mortuary from Thursday noon until Friday noon.

Mrs. Rogers was born in Lisbon, Pa., and came to Kansas when she was 8 years old. She had lived in Rossville since 1918, and was a member of the Methodist church.

She leaves one son, Paul D. Rogers of Willard; two daughters, Mrs. Helen F. Tabor of Dover and Mrs. Ruth P. Page of Rossville; three grandchildren Mrs. Lillian Rippetoe of Wichita and Phyllis and Dean Page of Rossville; two brothers, Earl Lyttle of Winter Park, Fla, and Glenn Lyttle of Franklin, Pa., four sisters, Mrs. Lee Atwell of Clintonville, Pa., Mrs. Ed Atwell of Grove City, Pa., Mrs. David Perry of Polk, Pa., and Mrs. Helen Phipps of Pittsburg, Pa.
