Marsella Ruff
ROSSVILLE — Marsella A. Ruff, 80, Rossville, died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2001, at a Topeka hospice.

Mrs. Ruff her husband farmed near Rossville for 60 years. She also had worked in food services at the VA Medical Center in Topeka and the Kansas Neurological Institute in Topeka. She later was a retail clerk for Woolworths and Arlyns in Topeka, and she was a greeter at Wal-Mart the past eight years.

She was born Oct. 15, 1920, in Topeka, the daughter of Nicholaus and Barbara Walder Stadler. She was a lifelong Rossville resident.

She married Dale C. Ruff on Feb. 3, 1940, in Rossville. He survives.

Other survivors include a son, Frank Ruff, Davidsonville, Md.; a daughter, Mary Ann Diehl, Leawood; four sisters, Mildred Wallace and Irene Mader, both of Topeka, Ruth Cornelius, Newton, and Kathryn Lombardi, Kenvil, N.J.; three brothers, George Stadler, in Arizona, Sylvester Stadler, Topeka, and Nicholaus Stadler, Wichita; and two grandchildren.
Mrs. Ruff was cremated.

Piper-Verschelden Funeral Chapel in St, Marys is in charge of arrangements.
