Obituary- Schlup, Walter 1
Walter Schlup buried in Mo.
Funeral services were held at 9 a. m. Tuesday at the St. Stanislaus Catholic Church of Rossville for Walter R. Schlup, 57, who died in the VA Hospital at Topeka Sunday.
A resident of Rossville for 35 years, Schlup was Rossville water commissioner at the time he became ill.
Schlup was born at California, Mo., November 28, 1901.
He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Craig and Mrs. Genevieve Collins, both of St. Louis, Mo.
Tie was a member of the Moose Lodge at Topeka, and a member of the American Legion. He was a veteran of World War II.
Rosary was recited Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the Hurley Funeral Home in Rossville. Burial was in California, Mo., with Rossville Legion members in charge of graveside military services.
