Ellen Scully
Ellen G. Scully, 93, Silver Lake, died Saturday, March 16, 2002, at the St. Marys Manor.

She was born September 21, 1908, in Belvue, to George W. and Ella May Ewing Ackley. She had lived in Silver Lake for 63 years.

She was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Rossville, Daughters of Isabella Little Flower Circle No. 503 in Topeka, the Silver Lake Community Club, and several bridge clubs. She was a charter member of Silver Lake Senior Citizens and a member of the group’s XYZ Club.

On July 7, 1930, she married Jerome Scully in Wamego. He died May 7, 1981.

Nephews and nieces survive.

Her funeral Mass will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Topeka. A parish rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home, 1035 North Kansas, Topeka 66608.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Rossville, or to the Silver Lake Senior Citizens and sent in care of the funeral home.
