Obituary- Sebring, Charles

Miss Esther Sebring and Glen Sebring were called to Topeka Wednesday morning by the sudden death of their uncle, Charles Sebring.

Funeral services for Charles Sebring, 75, of 1525 Medford, will be held Friday at 2 p.m., and burial will be in Mount Hope cemetery.

The body of the 75-year-old man, who was a carpenter and contractor until his retirement in 1940, was found at his home Wednesday morning. He lived alone. According to Dr. H. L. Clark, coroner, Mr. Sebring apparently died of a heart attack. He was found on the floor of his dining room fully dressed and had probably been dead since Sunday. When neighbors failed to see Mr. Sebring out doors, they became alarmed and called police. He had been retired from active work since 1940, but was a lover of flowers, and much of his time during the past six years had been devoted to the raising of gladioli and roses.

He was born March 22, 1874, in Westmoreland, and had been a resident of Topeka for 30 years. He was a member of Central Congregational church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Sebring, in 1942. He leaves one sister, Mrs. Maude Hart of Westmoreland; a brother, George Sebring of Parsons and several nieces and nephews.
